How to care for your candles
  1. Trim the Wick: Always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting. This helps prevent a high flame and reduces soot, promoting an even burn.
  2. Initial Burn Time: When lighting your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for at least 1-2 hours until the wax melts evenly across the top. This helps prevent tunneling.
  3. Burning Duration: Limit each burn to 3-4 hours to prevent overheating the candle and to maintain the integrity of the wax. Allow the candle to cool for a bit before lighting it again.
  4. Placement: Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, flammable materials, and direct sunlight to ensure a safe burning environment.
  5. Extinguishing: Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to avoid smoke. This helps preserve the fragrance and reduces soot.
  6. Storage: Store candles in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration and maintain fragrance quality.
  7. Cleaning the Jar: After the candle is completely used up, you can clean the jar for repurposing. Soak it in warm, soapy water, and use a spatula or knife to gently remove any leftover wax.
  8. Extinguish Safely: Do not use the bamboo lid to extinguish the flame, as this poses a fire hazard. Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame instead.

Candle vessels (jars) are NOT microwave or dishwasher safe.
